...and relatively well.

First off, THIS PERSON IS NOT ME!: [link] . In case anyone was wondering.

It's been a couple years since that last journal post, so it probably goes without saying that a lot has changed since then. So, here goes.

I obviously didn't quit ROTC (*points back to the mention of a contract*). I got over my cold, decided that the cadre member in question was a)new and therefore didn't know me at all, and b)probably talking to the guy running slower than me who I just happened to be next to at the time. I also have since learned that most people wind up hating life in ROTC... it's actually just a TRADOC phenomenon (Army training sucks, is frequently boring and stupid, and makes everyone miserable, for the most part). I continued running, wound up maxing my PT test that year, and basically said a mental "fuck you" to anyone who thought I couldn't do it.

I still don't like running though...

Fortunately, I'm now a commissioned officer in the Med Service Corps, at Ft. Rucker, AL, for flight training (MEDEVAC, whoo!) so running probably won't be much of a priority in my future

Ft. Rucker and the surrounding area (namely, Enterprise, where I live) is a boring fucking place, in case anyone is interested.

Apart from that little hurdle, I've decided to pst up some selective photos here. Not sure if I'm going to put any of my old work up (there are a couple I might re-post), but I'll probably snap a new photo every so often. I actually do like my body...

On a completely different note that you guys probably don't care about, I went shopping today and spent a ridiculous amount of money on clothes. Bought some new camis, a couple polo shirts, some new jeans, and a couple of cute sweaters (and now that I'm living farther north than south Florida, I'll have more opportunity to wear them ). I'm also getting back into horseback riding, which makes me happy. I haven't ridden on a serious basis since 8th grade, so I'm glad to have found a place I can do it (for cheap, too ). This also means that I'll build some calf muscles again, which is always a nice thing (I have such skinny little stick legs, lol).

Aand... the next things I post will probably be some dog photos and some apple pie pictures, because I've discovered that I like to bake (and my Dutch Apple Pie is amazing, if I do say so myself...).
